So, make sure that you avoid the crowded areas and while travelling follow the necessary suggestions given by WHO. Here’s what you need to do:
- Wash your hands for 20 seconds (this is equivalent to singing happy b’day 2 times from start to end).
- Do not touch your nose, mouth, and eyes
- While sneezing or coughing make sure that you use a tissue. After every use, make sure to dispose of it off & correctly.
- Stay away from people who are sick.
- Clean the entire surface and areas which you touch everyday.
- Maintain at least 6 feet distance
Prefer Double Masking |
Double Masking means wearing a nylon face or cloth mask over the surgical mask. Doing this is more beneficial than wearing 1 mask. In case, you are wearing 1 mask then make sure that it covers your mouth and nose. |
Do I need to take special precautions if I have cancer?
Studies have shown that people with progressing or active cancer are at higher risk. Even if you have cancer or not, then make sure that you are following all the necessary precautions. During the COVID-19 Pandemics, it is important that you do not travel out. Only when you are vaccinated you should go out.
New Normal: Social Distancing
It is better that you keep the essential medications and over-the-counter medications at your home for 1 month. Keep your closed ones updated about your health, so that if you need assistance they will be there for you. Feel free to discuss your condition with the doctor through telecommunication. Discuss with your doctor
It is better to consult your cancer care doctor when you need to get cancer screening or do you need to personally visit the doctor for the following appointment/ routine check-up. |

In case, you can notice the symptoms or your health is getting down, then do not waste a single second and consult the doctor. Symptoms like shortness of breath and cough should not be avoided.
Depending on your condition the doctor will tell you from where you need to get yourself tested. Your safety is in your hands, so make sure that you do not delay the situation.
